The Nextvoyage Leadership Team brings combined decades of experience in maritime technology. Led by Mark Pith as CEO, the team shares Mark’s vision to bring easy-to-implement and easy-to-use Voyage and Freight Management Software to the commercial maritime bulk shipping sector.
Mark Pith, CEO
Mark Pith is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Nextvoyage. Mark founded Nextvoyage in 2020 after designing and developing the system. Prior to founding Nextvoyage, Mark held various roles in the maritime industry with a focus on software applications. Mark brings the combined traits of entrepreneurship and technical know-how, enabling him to be a leader in all aspects of the business.
Originally from The Netherlands, Mark has spent his career living and working in Europe and Asia, and currently resides in Singapore. When he is not working with clients or developing software, Mark can be found with his family exploring Singapore by bicycle.
Mark holds a MSC in Business Studies from the University of Amsterdam.
John Viggiano, COO
September 2022. John leverages his deep operations know-how and hands-on
project management experience in his role. His focus is developing and
executing strategies that quickly bring value to clients. Prior to Nextvoyage,
John worked in various roles in the information technology sector, including
maritime technology, and started his career in telecommunications.
Originally from the Albany, New York area, John has enjoyed experiencing
different parts of the world. While he started his career in the United States,
he spent time living and working in Singapore, and then relocated to the
Lisbon, Portugal area in 2019. In his free time, John loves spending time with
his family, especially if it includes surfing, hiking or playing padel.
John holds a BA in Information Science from State University of New York. He
is a certified Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP), Agile
Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Jonathan McLean, CTO
Jonathan McLean is the Chief Technology Officer and joined the company in September 2022. In his role, he focuses on the overall product engineering and solution architecture of Nextvoyage’s leading SaaS offering. He has rich experience in many different aspects of the software and maritime industries, including product design, development, and project implementation. Along with managing technical details, Jonathan has also worked one-on-one with clients to help them use technology solutions to meet and exceed their business goals.
Prior to joining Nextvoyage, Jonathan filled a number of roles within the maritime technology industry, and also with NGOs, including the United States Peace Corps and World Computer Exchange. He enjoys spending time with his young boys and dragging them all around Singapore on his bicycle.
Jonathan has a B.A. from Connecticut College in Computer Science, with a second focus in European History.
